Namibia Federation for Freshwater Angling (NFFA)
The Namibia Federation for Freshwater Angling (NFFA) is the official governing body for the sport of freshwater angling in Namibia. Recognized by the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Culture as well as the Namibia Sports Commission (NSC), the NFFA serves as the sole authority representing freshwater sport anglers across the country.
Our Mission and Role
The NFFA is committed to managing the day-to-day affairs of freshwater angling in Namibia, ensuring the sport is governed, regulated, and protected for all its members. As the only authorized body for freshwater angling in Namibia, the NFFA acts on behalf of anglers nationwide, advocating for their interests and upholding the integrity of the sport.
Key responsibilities include:
- Governing and regulating freshwater angling in Namibia.
- Ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations, including those established by higher international authorities.
- Supporting the growth and development of freshwater angling for both competitive and recreational purposes.
International Affiliation
The NFFA is an active member of two leading international organizations:
- Confédération Internationale de la Peche Sportive (C.I.P.S.)
- Fédération Internationale de la Pêche Sportive en Eau Douce (F.I.P.S.e.d)
These memberships ensure that Namibian freshwater angling aligns with global standards and provides local anglers with opportunities to participate in international events.
